Pengaruh Manajemen Waktu terhadap Kepuasan Kerja Pegawai di Kantor Kementerian Agama Kabupaten Batang Hari

Abstract


This study aims to analyze and determine the extent to which time management influences employee job satisfaction at the Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Batang Hari Regency. The background of this research lies in the phenomenon that some employees have not yet optimized their time management at work, such as delays in task completion and lack of discipline in utilizing working hours, which are presumed to affect their job satisfaction levels. This research employs a quantitative approach with a causal associative method. The population consists of 66 civil servants (ASN) at the Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Batang Hari Regency, all of whom were taken as samples using the saturated sampling technique. Data were collected using questionnaires based on indicators of time management and job satisfaction. The data were analyzed using simple linear regression, the t-test, and the coefficient of determination (R²) to test the relationship between variables. The results indicate that time management has a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction. The analysis shows that the t-value (3.132) is greater than the t-table value (1.99773), with a significance level of 0.002 < 0.05, indicating that better time management leads to higher employee job satisfaction. The regression equation obtained is Y = 2.272 + 0.216X, while the Adjusted R Square value of 0.364 reveals that time management contributes 36.4% to job satisfaction, with the remaining 63.6% influenced by other factors not examined in this study. In conclusion, the findings suggest that effective time management plays a crucial role in enhancing employee job satisfaction, particularly within governmental institutions. This study is expected to serve as a reference for organizational leaders at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Batang Hari Regency, to improve efficiency and productivity through discipline-building and structured time management practices in the workplace.
